Minerva's Agora
Minerva Books is a new and used bookstore and community gathering place serving the historic and artistic community of Petersburg, VA and, through the Internet, a larger community of discriminating readers. Currently, we have a staff of one, which takes a lot of the guesswork out of Employee of the Month. Our cinder block and mortar store is in a former commercial garage at 233 Bartow Alley in Old Towne Petersburg.
Our customers are the most important people in the world. They're also good-looking, highly intelligent and smell good. If you're inclined to buy something from us, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If, for whatever reason, you find a purchase unacceptable, simply return it to us within 15 days of receipt, and we'll gladly refund the purchase price.

Return Policy
We do not charge a mark-up for shipping. What you see is the USPS rate. You can avoid shipping charges altogether by selecting the "Will Call" option from the shipping method pull-down menu, then taking a little trip to the store to pick up your goods.
- We accept VISA and MasterCard via secure link as payment for books online. We will also accept your personal check and will ship the item as soon as we receive payment. Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee.
- We will gladly refund your purchase price for any items that do not meet your expectations. Simply return them to us within 7 business days, and your account will be credited.
- We accept used books for store credit at our physical location at 233 Bartow Alley, Petersburg. Please call before you load up the wagon so you can find out if we're accepting books at that time. Whether we take individual titles depends on age, condition, space available and anticipated demand. Store credit is redeemable at our physical location on other used books only. |
