On July 8, 1968, after the subsequent death of Prophet Morris Edward Hodges, Spiritual Leader of The House of Israel Temple of Faith and brother of Rabbi James Hodges, Sr.; a meeting attended by members of both The House of Israel Temple of Faith and The Temple of Israel Kingdom Center was held to approve and confirm the name change of The Temple of Israel Kingdom Center. As a result of the meeting, the Temple of Israel Kingdom was renamed The House of Israel Temple of Faith, to commemorate the life and memory of Prophet Morris Edward Hodges.
For over forty years, under the leadership of Rabbi James Hodges, Sr., Rabbi William O. Young (deceased) and Rabbi Leronus Johnson (retired), The House of Israel Temple of Faith has lead by example and carried the baton towards exposing and educating the masses regarding God’s program for the redemption of the human family.
Throughout its existence, The House of Israel Temple of Faith has been instrumental in organizing and participating in numerous organizations such as, the United Leadership Council of Hebrew Israelites (ULCHI), United Families of Israel (UNIFI), the International Board of Rabbis (Midwest Region), and Yisraelite Organizations of Unity (Y.O.U)
The House of Israel Temple of Faith stands firm in its belief of salvation through identity and seeks the support of individuals and organizations committed to salvation and the redemption of the human family.
