Carol along with her partner Heidi started their business selling collectible dolls and gifts. The businesses success has come mostly by "word-of-mouth" and one can tell why, when you stroll through their store in Historic downtown Somerville, New Jersey.
After their first year of business, Carol & Heidi relocated to a much larger store due to customer demand.
Wishes and Dreams features every line of popular collectable dolls, such well known names as Robert Tonner, Helen Kish, Neva Dolls, Marie Osmond, Adora, Lee Middleton, Madame Alexander, Jan McLean, Gotz, etc., and a wide variety of plush items such names as Stieff (button ear), Ty (beanies), Gund, Douglas to name a few.
We are not just collectibles; we also carry
Hallmark cards and that little something special for any occasion.
Wishes and Dreams will ship to domestic, as well as international destinations.

Return Policy
PayPal:
We accept PayPal payments on any phone or e-mail order. PayPal is not however a payment option for orders place via our Online Store.
If PayPal is your preferred payment option feel free to call us at
(908) 707-0870 or e-mail us at store@wishesanddreams.org with a list of items you would like to purchase.We will reply with your total and instructions to send payment via PayPal.
Personal Checks:
We no longer accept Personal Checks
Money Orders:
If you are using a Money Order for a purchase, it must arrive within 10 days. After day 10 , items will no longer be held and we cannot guarantee that they will still be available for purchase.
Cash:
For your protection, we do not except cash by mail. As you can imagine, it probably wouldn't make it to our store.
Preorders:
For items not yet in stock:
A NON REFUNDABLE- NON TRANSFERABLE deposit equal to 1/3 of total price is required for the item.
After the item arrives and the other 2/3rds (plus shipping and handling) are paid off, we will than ship it to you.
You may continue to pay item off before it's arrival
Layaway:
For items in stock:
A 25% NON REFUNDABLE- NON TRANSFERABLE deposit is required.
We accept Credit Cards, PayPal or Money Orders.
- Money Orders payments not received within 10 days of initiating layaway will be returned to stock and will be noted in customers profile/history.
- Credit Card payments will be taken out automatically each month. The amount will be set up during initial interview.
Layaways worth Under $500 will have a duration of 3 months
Layaways worth $500 and more will have a duration of 12 months (or shorter upon customers request)
A monthly payment is required for the duration of layaway
- Any missed payments will receive ONE courtesy phone call, followed by ONE courtesy e-mail.
- If no response is received within three days of e-mail, item will return to stock and the layaway agreement will be canceled.
-The initial 25% deposit will be kept as a restocking fee and the rest will be returned to customer in the form of store credit.
Sale or marked down items are not eligible for layaway
No Exchanges or Returns on Sale Items
In Local Area
If you stop into our store with the product we will gladly give store credit in the form of a gift certificate or even exchange.
Returns on Shipped Items
The customer is responsible for the shipping and handling of any returned product. Upon receiving the returned item, we will mail a return gift certificate in the amount that the customer paid (excluding shipping and sale tax).
Our return gift certificate is valid for one year from the date issued.
Return gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash or be credited to your credit card
Return gift certificates cannot be applied towards items on layaway
Sales Tax
Wishes & Dreams is only obligated to withhold sales tax for delivery within New Jersey. Customers outside the state of New Jersey will not be charged sales tax.
Domestic (continental U.S.A)
Shipments within the continental United States will be shipped through UPS Ground Service.
We do not estimate shipping charges anymore. Shipping charges will be added to your subtotal after we have an exact UPS quote. By placing an order with us you agree to the shipping rate that UPS charges us.
Rates include UPS insurance in case of damage or misplacement during transit
Orders worth more than $250 requires a signature upon deliver
Please allow Wishes & Dreams 7-10 days to ship merchandise, then allow UPS 7-10 business days for delivery.
International
International shipments as well as those being sent to Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories will be shipped by the United States Postal Service.
Contact us by phone or e-mail with your order and we will e-mail you back with the exact shipping charges.
Do not order through our Online Store if items are being shipped out of the country
Wishes & Dreams must strictly adhere to all customs laws and regulations. All international orders will be declared as “merchandise” and the value of merchandise will be declared as the amount paid to
Wishes & Dreams. We cannot declare anything as gift or for a lesser value. No exceptions!
Customer is responsible for any taxes, duty, and any other fees place on package by their country of residence. |
